                                      Subject: Recruitment of Secretary General of Global Tiger Forum (GTF).

Sir,                                          .

 

The Global Tiger Forum (GTF) is looking for recruitment of a competent and experienced person as the Secretary General of Global Tiger forum. A copy of the Recruitment rules in this regard is provided in Annexure - A. (Please Click On The Link Given At Bottom Of The Page To Preview)                                          .

 

The monthly salary of the Secretary General, GTF, would be fixed between US$2,000 (INR90,000 approximately) to US$3,000 (INR1,35,000 approximately) depending upon the quality, expertise and experience of the candidate. The Executive Committee of GTF shall make initial selection of an officer as per the provisions of the Recruitment Rules and recommend a panel/person to the Chairperson of GTF for taking decision of his appointment. If necessary, the Executive Committee or a Core Committee authorized by the Executive Committee, may also interview the short-listed candidates.                                          .

 

The incumbent who will be finally selected for the post of Secretary General, GTF, through the process indicated above, would be required to join the post within one month of selection.                                          .

 

The mission of Global Tiger Forum, its activities and responsibilities of the Secretary General can be seen in the GTF website: htpp://www.globaltiger.org. It is the intention to grow the institution in pursuit of which the need to interact with institutions or bodies such as the GTI, other NGOs and entities in tiger range countries is important, and the GT can be a significant player in working with national governments and international communities.                                          .

 

You are, therefore, requested to circulate the matter for filling up of the post of Secretary General of GTF within your country in the manner you consider appropriate including advertisement, if any, and forward the applications along with their bio-data and supporting documents, to the Secretariat, latest by 31st March 2010.                                          .

 

The post is open to both serving and retired officers. While retired officers can apply directly to the GTF Secretariat, addressed to the Secretary General, GTF & Member Secretary, National Tiger Conservation Authority, Annexe No. 5, Bikaner House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi, India, Fax; 91-011-40526723, e-mail: gtf@bol.net.in; globaltigerforum@gmail.com; the serving officers' applications will have to be routed through the state and country governments or the organization where the applicants are currently serving. However, the applicants can submit advance copies of their applications to the Secretariat for information. No case of serving officer will be considered for selection unless his/her case is recommended by the respective governments/organization.                                          .

 

The officers who had applied against our circular issued earlier in 2008 on the subject, will have to apply again and their cases have to be forwarded afresh by their state/country governments or the organization in which they are serving. However, they can also send advance copies of their applications to the Secretariat for information.                                          .

 

I would, therefore, request you to take accordant action and ensure that necessary applications in the matter with supporting documents duly recommended, are received in the Secretariat within the deadline of 31st March 2010.                                          .
